Contains sixteen photos of the loop trail. These photos were taken on May 20, 2023. I was in the woods on May 13, 2023 and the leaves were middle size and within a week became full leaf. I was very surprised how fast the tree leaves changed.
I took pictures on May 10th of the common duckweed on the pond. The duckweed on the 10th was just around the edge. On May 20th, the duckweed covered the west end of the pond.
- Entrance: The entrance from the student drop-off/pickup loop of Scarlett Middle School.
- Pond or South: The trail splits with a trail to the left towards the pond, we will walk straight forward heading south.
- Platt Rd or South: Right after the left pond trail, is a trail to the right towards Platt Road, we will continue to walk straight forward heading south.
- Heading South: We continue to walk south with a little up and down hill. I enjoyed all of the wild geraniums (see image at the bottom).

- Loop Heading East: We continue to walk east on the loop trail with a little up and down hill.

- Approaching the Pond: We are approaching the pond. The loop trail has another split to the right towards Turnberry.
- The Pond from the Loop: We can see the pond from the loop trail. The pond has various benches to sit and enjoy nature. The pond is already covered with common duckweed.
- Loop or School: The loop trail splits to the right towards the Scarlett Middle School, we continue straight and up a slight grade towards the entrance.
- Loop towards Entrance: We continue to walk northwest up a slight grade towards the entrance.

The following shows the wild geraniums on May 20th. They are all along the south and east sections of the loop trail.
