New Life Church Workday in Mitchell-Scarlett Woods
We split the group of 50 to 60 volunteers into three sub-groups
Management Area J – 20 or so volunteers (Leader – J. Schmidt)

- Removed buckthorn and applied baggies along northern edge of J
- Cut honeysuckle and buckthorn and applied approximately 75 new baggies in area J, along J-I trail and JF trail plus interior
- After baggies ran out continued cutting invasive shurbs around native seedlings
- Spread wood chips behind bench at the entrance
Management Area E – 20 or so volunteers (Leader – Nik Spasovski)
- Cut mainly buckthorn opposite the pond trail
- Opened up area and spread out cuttings
- Broke up some earlier piles of cuttings
Management Area K – 15 or so volunteers (Leaders – M. Schmidt & Josh Blom)
- Widened trail by cutting buckthorn
- Spread wood chips in low spots on trail west side of K
- and a few other low spots
