Ann Arbor District Library (AADL) has an amazing variation on the summer book reading challenge called Summer Game. The Summer Game is composed of categories of badges. The badges ask the player to search the card catalog or the internet or visit the branch Libraries or get out in the area to find the solutions to questions and get a game code and points. With the game codes the player can buy prizes in the Game Store. My favorite badge category is the Explorer Badge. This year the AADL had a Scarlett-Mitchell Loop badge. The Badge has the player walk the Mitchell Scarlett loop behind the school and asks questions about the walk to get game codes.
